This eight day trip combines a relaxing treks with excursions to the country’s temples and monastries. When we talk about Nepal, we immediately think of Mt. Everest. Yet its life and civilization are mainly concentrated in the Kathmandu valley.

What to Expect

When we talk about Nepal, we immediately think of Everest. But its life and civilization are mainly concentrated in the Kathmandu valley, where you will see the country’s greatest temples, palaces and monasteries.

This eight day trip combines a relaxing and easy trek down little known trails with excursions to the country’s cultural heritage.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu (1300m)

After your arrival in Kathmandu, we will transfer you to a hotel and brief you about the trip.
In the evening we will all get to know each other over dinner.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

After breakfast we will visit Kathmandu Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Boudhanath.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Chisapani (2300m)

On the third day we will drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal by car. The trail begins from Sundarijal. After entering the Shivapuri national park, the trail leads to the village of Mulkhara.

From Mulkhara Mountain we will continue through a light forest ascending and descending to Chisapani (2300m).

Walking time is six hours.

Day 04: Chisapani – Nagarkot (2100m)

From Chisopani we will continue to Partibhanjyang. After crossing several villages we will finally arrive at Nagarkot (2130m). From Nagarkot one can see Mt. Everest.

Walking time is seven hours.

Day 05: Nagarkot – Dhulikhel

From Nagarkot we continue through several villages to Dhulikhel.

Walking time is five hours.

Day 06: Dhulikhel - Bhaktapur

After breakfast, we have a full day of sightseeing at Bhaktapur Square and Bhaktapur City.

Day 07: Patan Sightseeing

After breakfast we have a full day sightseeing at Patan City, Krishna Mandir and Patan Durbar Square, Bhungmati and Khokana.

Day 08: Kathmandu/Departure

We will drive you back to the airport for your return flight.

Mount Everest The highest mountain in the world is Mount Everest. Its peak rises to 8,848 m (29,028 ft 9 in) – the highest point in the world. Nepal tourism appoints son of Edmund Hillary to promote Everest mission After the Earthquake Nepal’s Everest missions has taken a back seat as people are weary to scale the peaks in fear of avalanches. The Nepal government on May 28, 2015 observed the international Everest Day marking the conquest of the world’s highest peak by Edmund Hillary and Tanzing Norgey Sherpa 62 years ago. The day was observed with intentions of reviving tourism in the country. In a bid to call back tourists the Nepalese Tourism Minister Kripasur Sherpa appealed to international tourists to visit the country. He assured them that there are still many safe and beautiful places which include heritage and cultural sites along with trekking trails that have remained intact despite the devastating earthquakes.   How to Find a Toilet in Kathmandu? People often remark on the lack of infrastructure in Nepal and I agree. Sometimes even finding a clean toilet can be a problem. I’ve learned a few tricks during my 5 years in Nepal this is one of them. First, you can ask to use the toilet anywhere and no one ever seems to mind, however you will find toilets locked in many businesses. Someone will be happy to provide you with a key. You will come upon some toilets that are monitored by a woman who sits there and expects 5-20 rupees per use. Sometimes these toilets are a bit cleaner, but not always. The cleanest toilets are at banks. I was quite surprised to find a condom dispenser of free condoms in the ladies toilet in the Standard Chartered Bank in New Banaswhor, but it’s the same with most toilets at banks.
